Condé Nast’s Vanity Fair was founded in 1913 with the goal of recording “truthfully and entertainingly the progress of American life.” Since then, the title has featured the highest-quality journalism, photography, and commentary on all aspects of culture. On our 100th birthday, see the highlights of our history in slide shows, films, essays, articles, and full issues.
